But one big Question remains still for indians is when will be the new iPad available in India. The Release of the new iPad, is already showing signs of becoming another success with the trends. It seems Poeple are missing Steve, but his good works are absolutely carried the same way even after his demise. Apple has been doing pretty good now even without steve.

Lets come to the point, when will the new iPad available in India? Clueless. The features of new iPad are really Cool, with  2048-by-1536-pixel resolution at 264 pixels per inch (ppi), much higher than  even a HDTV.  The Battery Back up is the same 9-10 hours. I think it is a fair good deal to go for an Apple iPad than even thinking for an alternative. Well the iPad2(16GB) Prices have been dropped to $399 (approx Rs. 20k) and the new iPad is just $499/- (just Rs. 5k more). Well looking at the prices in India that we could get this for so cheap, I think no.

My friend Pritam (iOS developer) is planning to get an iPad, but the new one is not available in India. I heard him saying that apple is planning to put up the online store for India as well. So he is in a dilemma weather to wait till that or get it imported from some friend.

Wow ! Google wishes me on my B’day. Great..! It may sound funny for people who have already seen or experienced this before but this was first one for me. There are some sites, which remember your b’day and send an email to you wishing your B’day. More over Facebook, Skype, you will find it, when you login. But Google was special as they wished in a very different way, as i had logged into my Google account, my search page appeared to have a Google Logo, Celebrating my B’day…! Surprise.. Surprise..

Sorry for Leaking your Surprise from google on your upcoming B’days.
Hope they would change the Logo for your next B’day.

The trailer of the movie was supposed to be released with the Producer Dou’s(Farhaan and Rithesh) Don2 , but due to some constraints, it could not. So now the teaser is been realsed with the Karan Johar’s version of Agneepath. Aamir in the movie is a cop, and for that he Mr.Perfectionist has also sported a mustache to suite the role. Rani Mukerjee and Kareena Kapoor are also in the lead, with Aamir.

The fastest browser from Google, gets faster with an awesome idea to prerender the websites you are likely to visit. So obviously the sites you are going to visit would be be loaded very fast.

We all have seen the Google Instant, which returns instant and faster search results as you type. The Prerendering feature in the Chrome 17 is similar to Google Instant Search, it observes what you’re typing and makes educated guesses about the page you’re likely to visit. “If the URL auto-completes to a site you’re very likely to visit, Chrome will begin to prerender the page,” writes Dominic Hamon, a software engineer at Google.

If you only like to check out the feature of  the latest Chrome beta, then it is available through the Google Chrome beta channel. Please be aware that the beta channel would have more bugs and potential problems than the stable Chrome releases. Its upto you if you want to give a try.

Along with the prerendering, the Chrome 17 also extends Chrome’s Safe Browsing tools to help protect you from malicious sites and, now, malicious downloads. Like Firefox, Chrome now scans downloaded files (for now .exe and .msi files) looking for viruses or malware attacks. If a file you’ve downloaded is known to be bad, or comes from a site with a “relatively high percentage of malicious downloads,” Chrome will warn you about it and suggest you discard it.

The Last two Posts of mine discussed about the Buzzing SOPA and PIPA. The US Bills speak for censoring the web over the Piracy. Something Similar struck to my mind when the subject of censoring the web came up. The HRD minister of India Mr. Kapil Sibal was saying similar things about censoring the web for Controversial issues being discussed in the web and the Social Media.

Well the SOPA and PIPA gives intellectual property owners like (Music or Movie Producers) the ability to effectively pull the plug on foreign sites against whom they have a copyright claim. For example in India if a Movie Production house say T Series,says that a pakistani site is offering free download of their Copyrighted Songs from an upcoming movie, then it can demand Google to remove that site from its search results, and make PayPal no longer accept payments to or from that site, that ad services pull all ads and finances from it, and that the site’s ISP prevent people from even going there. Yet you could access the site using the IP address(if you remebmer it).

Now, you might be knowing which site, I am referring to, Yes Exactly a site for Songs  from Pakistan, with a .pk. Now thats another interesting fact that many Indians use this site to download the songs, than the Pakistani People. And if such SOPA and PIPA Comes to India, all these free downloads would become difficult.

So Don’t be surprised if Mr. Kapil bounces back and says, this Problem is not in India, but round the globe, so censorship on web is necesary. Do share your Comments on this.

Wikipedia Black out

Wikipedia was not the only site, but there are a list of sites that have protested against the SOPA/PIPA. One major was Google.com, Google Censored its logo, rest of the things worked normal.

Below is the list of some popular sites which are protesting the SOPA/PIPA.

My friend Madhukara says if you donot know SOPA or PIPA, you are not supposed to be on internet. All the where in headlines you go, right from the newspapers to the electronic media and the web, Every one speaking about the SOPA and PIPA. What is this by the way.

Well lets see the acronyms first, the SOPA means Stop Online Piracy Act and PIPA means Protect IP Act. Both are the bills that are about to pass by the US government, to have a hold on Piracy and Censorship.

Protest SOPA and PIPA

SOPA gives the right to intellectual property owners (like movie studios, record labels etc.) to effectively pull the plug on foreign sites against whom they have a copyright claim. For example if a Movie Production house say Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc.,says that a site in Russia is distributing a pirated copy of the movie Spider Man, then the  studio could demand Google to remove that site from its search results, and make PayPal no longer accept payments to or from that site, that ad services pull all ads and finances from it, and that the site’s ISP prevent people from even going there.

In one sense it seems good but in another, it means that you are censoring the web, a media which was open and was a free source of Knowledge. You are stopping the people’s freedom of speech as well.

So many sites have decided to oppose to SOPA and PIPA, including the giants like Google, Wikipedia, Reddit etc. What do you have to say. Share your Valuable Comments.

According to the site Insidefacebook.com, the scammers use fraudulent Facebook pages whihc prompt users to click a number of Like buttons, invite friends, watch YouTube videos, Browser Plugins(Chrome as in the above image) and download files to get their job done. Clicking “Continue” or “Like” on that one could allow the scammer to hijack your account. If you find these kind of  fraudulent pages, just use the “Report Page” button on the lower left hand side of the page to flag it.

With almost 800 million People using the facbook site, it becomes very diffiicult to keep an eye on fake and real facebook Pages. Hence the site relies on the Report Page button. So its very necessary that as users we should beware of such scams, and do the needful. I would be sharing some of the Tips which I usually follow to Keep my facebook account safe in my upcoming posts.
